Mary Ohno has established Kine-ie U.S.A. Branch of Naga-uta shamisen school in 1986. All her students make amazing progress and have a recital from time to time. Her Kine-ie U.S.A. branch has performed at the National Theater in Tokyo on "VI Yashichi Kine-ie Centennial Memorial Concert" of Kine-ie Shamisen Institute, in 1990.

The shamisen music texts Mary Ohno uses for her students now are called Bunka-Fu, founded by IV Yashichi Kine-ie (grandmother of present Grandmaster VI Yashichi Kine-ie) in 1922. Because these shamisen texts are easy to follow, all of her American students are able to read and play without any difficulty. Within a 10-week-lesson anyone can learn and play several Naga-uta numbers under Mary Ohno's Kabuki Academy class.
